The issue about Toni and Mariel having misunderstanding started sometime July of this year. According to reports, it might be because of the cancelled movie of Toni with Robin Padilla who is now Mariel’s steady boyfriend. However, Toni refused to say something about it and had asked the entertainment press not to probe her about it anymore.
Toni assured entertainment press that her friendship with Mariel remains intact. It’s just that some of their fans and other people around them created some negative issues between her and Mariel Rodriguez.
On the other hand, when Mariel was interviewed, she insisted that there’s no issue between her and Toni and that she is totally clueless about the alleged “tampo” of Toni Gonzaga.
The issue has never been cleared if there’s really a rift between Toni and Mariel. Not until last September 15, 2010 during the press conference of her upcoming fantaserye Kokey @ Ako, Toni Gonzaga confirms conflict with Mariel Rodriguez but did not elaborate the issue.
“Ayaw ko nang pag-usapan. Tapos na kasi, so maigi na ‘yong tapos na. Ayaw ko na. Kung ano na ‘yong mga narinig ko, kung ano na ‘yong mga nalaman ko, akin na lang ‘yon. Huwag n’yo na siyang tanungin sa akin.” Toni said to the entertainment press.
Toni added that Robin Padilla has nothing to do with her issue with Mariel.
When asked if did Mariel done something that hurt her, “Ayaw ko na, ayaw ko nang i-elaborate, Basta bahala na lang sila kung ide-deny o iko-confirm. Basta ako, ang importante sa akin, marunong akong magpahalaga ng mga tao sa buhay ko. At saka hindi ako… “Ayaw ko na. Kasi, kapag sinabi ko, alam n’yo na.” Toni said.
Reports said that, Toni discovered something that caused the conflicts even before the cancellation of her movie with Robin. The actress is actually thankful that the project was cancelled because she discovered some things and learned who to trust with.
“Triny ko maging maayos, triny kong intindihin. Triny ko. Pero kasi may hangganan din ang pasensiya ng tao eh,” Toni said.
Now that Toni already admitted that there’s really a conflict between her and Mariel, let’s wait for Mariel’s side about this issue.
